Rodman Ward Jr., the founder and former leader of the Wilmington office of Skadden Arps died on March 18. According to Skadden, Rod helped launch the Wilmington office in 1979, making Skadden the first firm not headquartered in Delaware to establish a local office. 'Over the next two decades Rod led our Wilmington team while cementing his stature as one of the state's top litigators. In addition, he served as the president of the Delaware State Bar, a member of numerous Delaware and New York bar committees, and a trustee of the Medical Center of Delaware and the Winterthur Museum, Garden and Library,' the Skadden statement noted.
